Centennial Walkway

Students worked Fall 1999 through Spring 2000 to construct Centennial Walkway with gardens and artworks. Here you will see the grasshopper sculpture, totem poles, rock garden and benches for relaxing along the walkway.

Grasshopper Sculpture made of recycled metal junk/parts. Created by artist Andy Priest and students in fall '99. Dedicated on St. Urho's day (legendary hero who drove grasshoppers out of Finland). Actually St. Urho's day was invented in Minnesota--Finn's do celebrate in U.S.
