April 6- Pastie Luncheon at the Kaleva Lion's Club. Donations. Proceeds will go to a new sculpture at the Kaleva Walkway Park (the grasshopper is lonely!).
April 13- Kaleva Historical Society Annual Meeting. 10 am at the Bottle House. All members welcome. Election of board members and officers.
April 27-Euchre Party at the Kaleva Tavern on Walta St. 3pm-6pm. Fundraiser for the Kaleva Historical Society. Come have fun and win prizes!
May 25 - Bottle House Museum and Kaleva Depot Museum open for the season.
June 21 - Juhannus Celebration at Kaleva Village Park at 6pm. Come join the the Kaleva Lions Club for hotdogs, strawberry shortcake, and Finnish Pancakes while enjoying music and a bonfire!
July 3- Celebration of new Sculpture on the Kaleva Walkway. Finnish folk music performed by Sattuma, popular band from Karelia, Russia.

December 1: Christmas Open House at the Bottle House Museum and the Kaleva Art Gallery Noon - 4pm. Traditional decorations, including the Finnish Heaven will be featured. Refreshments and music will add to the festive atmosphere.

December 21: Winter Solstice Celebration. Over 1000 luminaries are lit in the Kaleva Cemetery on the longest night of the year. The public is welcome to join in distributing the luminaries (starting at 4pm) and enjoy a soup supper at Bethany Lutheran Church following a short service at the cemetery led by Pastor Carla Rush.
The cemetery is on the corner of 9 Mile Rd. and Kaleva Street in Kaleva. Bethany Lutheran is located on Wouski St. (1 block east of Kaleva Meats).
